Sciatica — that shooting leg pain has a source
That burning, shooting pain running from your lower back down through your leg is your sciatic nerve telling you something is wrong. Sciatica is highly treatable — but only when you find where the compression is actually happening.
Book an AssessmentThe longest nerve in your body — under pressure
The sciatic nerve runs from your lower spine through your hips and glutes all the way down each leg — making it the longest nerve in the human body. When it's compressed or irritated, it can cause pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness anywhere along that entire path.
The two most common compression sites are the L4/L5 or L5/S1 disc levels in the lower spine, and the piriformis muscle in the glute. Identifying which one is causing your symptoms requires objective assessment — not an educated guess.
Our INSiGHT neurological scan maps nerve stress at every spinal level, helping us pinpoint the source of compression before treatment begins — rather than adjusting blindly and hoping for the best.
Symptoms
Shooting or burning leg pain
Pain that travels from the lower back or glute down through the thigh, calf, or foot — often described as electric or burning.
Numbness or tingling
A pins-and-needles sensation in the leg or foot — sometimes replacing pain entirely, which can feel deceptively like improvement.
Weakness in the leg
Difficulty controlling or lifting the foot, or a general feeling of weakness when walking or climbing stairs.
Pain worse when sitting
Sciatica is often worse after sitting for long periods — the position increases disc pressure on the nerve root.
Most sciatica patients feel significant relief within a few visits — but only when we've correctly identified the compression site first.
Sciatica is treatable. Let's find exactly where yours is coming from.
